Set in an idyllic location on the seashore at the edge of the pretty village of Ballyvaughan, these traditional thatched cottages are perfect for a seaside family holiday or a group getaway with friends.
From these traditional Irish holiday cottages, you and your guests can explore the unique landscape of the Burren, lakes, cliffs, archaeological sites and an unspoilt coastline of County Clare.
Property layout – Ground floor:
- Open plan living/dining room with cosy open fire
- Well equipped kitchen
- Bathroom with hand basin & toilet.
Property layout – First floor:
- Bedroom 1: double ensuite sleeping 2
- Bedroom 2: double sleeping 2
- Bedroom 3: twin sleeping 2
- Family bathroom
Please note furniture styles, the kitchen style and colours may vary in each holiday home.
These cluster of pretty seaside self-catering holiday cottages also have Wi-Fi. Towels are provided within the home.

This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.
2. Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property

The pretty cottages are traditional in style, laid out in a lovely landscaped area on a promontory bordered by the ocean. These seaside holiday cottages have 3 bedrooms and sleep 6 guests comfortably:Property layout – Ground floor:

Pet Friendly Holiday Home
Ballyvaughan Holiday Cottages accepts pets on request. Charges are payable on site to the Property Manager @ €40 per dog, maximum 2 dogs per booking. Please be aware that there is an open plan garden and that your dog(s) should be on a lead when in this area. Your dog(s) are not permitted in the bedrooms or on the furniture. Reserve your dog(s) at the time of booking via our call centre as your dog(s) will not be accepted without prior confirmation.Local Area & Tourist Attractions

Confusion regarding check in and check out times. The email stated 10am checkout but the lovely woman who came to clean the house arrived at 9am. So a miscommunication there.
