I think, that the expression "luxury" a little to much is. I was there 15 years ago. This was ok. But 2024 it needs a renovation. That doesn't means, that it wasn't good. But the windows are not tight ( the costs for heating would be lower ). And these mere

Having spoken to the home owner and property manager at length, after I emailed your feedback they have advised me that they have taken all your feedback onboard and will sit down and take a look at all improvements that need to take place during our off peak season. We have been in the business now of letting holiday homes since 1986 and enjoy excellent repeat business. We know that we must strive at all times to deliver excellent standards both in our customer care and accommodation. We have stayed in Grove Lodge (3 bedroom house) a number of times over the past few years and would highly recommend these holiday homes. They are very spacious with all modern conveniences, and the location is very close to Killorglin town and a goose mere
We have stayed in Grove Lodge (3 bedroom house) a number of times over the past few years and would highly recommend these holiday homes. They are very spacious with all modern conveniences, and the location is very close to Killorglin town and a good base for exploring all that Kerry has to offer. This year we found Claire, the onsite manager, a pleasure to deal with. Claire was very responsive both before and during our stay and she went out of her way to ensure that we enjoyed our week in Grove Lodge. The houses are very well maintained, and with a very high standard of cleaning.

My only niggle would be the mattress in the master bedroom could definitely do with replacing. Even the mattress topper couldn't hide the lumps, bumps and dips, and wasn't great for my back. Wifi was very poor too, so be prepared for grumpy kids! In se mere

Maybe the sofa too could do with updating? Whilst I appreciate it was obviously a very expensive and well made sofa when new, in places it was becoming thread bare and you could also feel the wooden frame through the seating cushions.

Struggling to think of anything really, maybe a blue tooth speaker instead of the stereo, our lodge was missing an egg spatula so had to use the cake slice, resulting in a few broken yokes, thats about as bad as it got.
Struggling to think of anything really, maybe a blue tooth speaker instead of the stereo, our lodge was missing an egg spatula so had to use the cake slice, resulting in a few broken yokes, thats about as bad as it got.

The house is a bit outside of town and though it is nort far to walk some 100 mtrs are right by the roadside. The ceiling to the upper floor is inredibly thin, every step of someone walking above is thunderingly loud.

Never had to pay for gas, electricity, heating separate before. This was a problem as we were constantly having to watch what we used. Bedrooms cold all of the time. We were only there for 5 nights but one of those we were away, out all day every dayse mere

We were only there for 5 nights but one of those we were away, out all day every day and only in 2 evenings. Only cooked 3 mornings the entire time we were there and we still had to pay £50 on top of what we paid. Would much rather have paid a bit more and not have to have spent our holiday worrying about a big bill at end of it. Claire kindly informed us the under floor heating was expensive and took 24 hours to heat back up. €200 euros deposit was understandable for any damage but no problem with that anyway.

The house we stayed in in Kilorglin was very comfortable and very well designed. We had wonderful mountain and river views from our balconies and the house itself was quite spacious. The location was perfect for visiting all the Kerry sights, from the Dingle Peninsula to the Ring of Kerry. We will definitely be back!
