Spent 1 week in the village of Aughrim renting no 11 in the holiday village, Catherine was excellent from the very start, explaining how everything worked and going through everything we needed to know , even warning us about The cost of running the storage heaters, the house itself was spotless with everything we needed, Unfortunately the weather was terrible while we were there, but the comfortable house and convenient location made up for it,

Dorp is door Corona minder aantrekkelijk geworden. Restaurant en hotel zijn dicht, een slecht Chinees restaurant en TOP take away zijn over. Gelukkig nog wel de lokale pub….

Catherine the property manager was absolutely delightful. Catherine couldn't have been more helpful and we could have spent hours chatting away! Catherine explained how everything worked in great detail and was also on hand should we have needed her for anything. We found the house was a good location for exploring the area and it was easy enough for us to get to Dublin and south to Wexford. We also appreciated the amount of information that had been provided in the house, about the property, the local area and all of the nearby tourist attractions etc.

It has to be the heating system! Storage heaters are so expensive and not very effective. Bearing in mind I arrived on Thursday 4th November around 7.30pm and left on the morning of 9th November, I was staggered at how the meter ate up the euro's! se mere

Bearing in mind I arrived on Thursday 4th November around 7.30pm and left on the morning of 9th November, I was staggered at how the meter ate up the euro's! Caroline had topped the meter up to 88 euros, which had reduced down to 37 euros by the 8th! I topped it back up to 100 euros on the Monday and it was down to 87 euros by the time I left meaning I left a further 5 euros in cash. Those 6 days cost me more in Ireland than I pay for electricity for a month in the UK. So I really think that is something that the owners should look at! Also, the TV really needs to be updated as well.

Catherine is a fantastic host , very friendly and welcoming- explained how everything worked and left us to it but if we needed anything she was always available to assist. One day there was a slight problem with the water heater and within 5 mins after phoning, Catherine and Steffen arrived and had it resolved immediately. Also excellent with following all the covid guidelines so we felt very safe and comfortable. Would highly recommend. Aughrim is a great village to be based in and very central for all our activities from hikes, leisurely walks, horse riding, cinema and beach all within 20 to 30 min drive. Many thanks Catherine for making our break so pleasant.

I booked three houses but the bookings had to be done individually so that meant three seperate payments & three emails every time I was contacted. Otherwise,everyone was lovely to deal with & the houses were spotless.
